For my last birthday, I baught myself a little digicam. I never had one before and I got really excited about it. I just went to Berlin with the Antiz team and it was the first time that I had it on a trip. It's a miracle it didn't break considering the amount of alcohol and thc that was in my body while using it sometimes. I used that thing almost more than my video camera, I must have shot hundreds of pictures, it's quite fun and it gets really addictive. But another great feature about this little digicam, is that it also films in HD. I haven't wanted to get into HD yet, cause it's so fucking expensive and the cameras are so huge, they don't seem to be very practicle. But with this thing, I got an HD camera the size of a pack of cigarettes, and it's so easy to use : one single button to press, you can't even use the zoom while filming, great ! I like simple things. So here I put together a few things that I filmed with the Antiz dudes while in Berlin, in High(and drunk) Definition.

I'm off to Berlin tomorrow for yet another Antiz tour, so I can't tell when the next post is gonna be, therefore I had to leave you with a good one.

As you already knew from a previous post, I took a vacation to Vienna a few weeks ago. There I met with a bunch af locals, my hobo homies from the Yama crew. Now these guys are real hobos, just look at what they do for summer leisure activities, no comment...

During my vacation, I spent a few days back in my hometown, Rouen. A lot of my old skate buddies are still living there, one of them being the one and only Charly Simon. Charly was getting quite a lot of coverage a few years ago, when he was living at the Antiz house in Lyon. If you never heard of Charly, you will find it pretty weird that this guy was hanging out with a bunch of punks or with the most sectarian of all, Nicolas Levet. But the thing is Charly is the most open minded, positive and friendly person I know, so you can't have anything but love for this guy. Unfortunately, knee injuries and the need to make a living took him away from the spotlights of skateboarding media. Today, Charly has moved back to Rouen and spends most of his time driving a taxi, but as soon as he's done with his cab duty, you can find him cruising at the skatepark or our main spot "Hotel de Ville", or even surfing the cold waves of the Normandy cost with his brother.
If you ever hail a cab and get picked up by this guy, it will either be the best or the worst ride of your life, depending on your music taste... HD bitches !

I'm in Vienna, Austria, for a (not so)well disserved vacation. I went to skate this big concrete skatepark that they've had there for about a year and a half. I was just skating among a bunch of kids, when suddenly I heard someone calling my name. It was good old Stephan Sperka. On their first day, we went to a bunch of spots in the Fondo area, and ended up at the famous skate-proofed plaza, where there is now a skatepark style flat bar, go figure... Hey there hobos of the world ! It's been a while since the last post. I was in Oslo, Norway, staying at Gabriel Engelke's house with a small part of the Antiz team, filming for our next video. The Beeb doesn't have internet at his house, so it was impossible to blog from there. This is footage from a session we had at Hausmania, a super cool DIY skatepark in the center of Oslo. Bram De Cleen has been a strong activist of the blog for a long time, an inexhaustible source of energy, motivation, and words(the man talks a lot). But since I started hanging out and filming with him, Bram has produced a lot more than just blog material. He needed to put together a part for his board sponsor, Nomad, so he called up all the filmers he had filmed with over the past few month, and collected all his footage(something not many skaters seem to be able to do). Lot's of people shit on facebook(and me the first), but you got to admit that every once in a while, it serves you right. For instance, I was befriending a bunch of people that I don't even know this morning, and out of curiosity, I checked who in my contacts was connected at that moment. And there was Wieger, I hadn't talked to him in ages, so I shout at him and we had a litttle chat, and there you go, I got an interview of Wieger Van Wageningen for the blog. Last week end in Hossegor, I ran into this guy, Damien Marzocca. I've known him for a while now, and been on a couple of tours with him. He's really one of my favorite french skaters, and one of my favorites in general. Hey hobos of the world ! After 6 month of non-stop broadcasting, Hobo Erectus took a break for almost 2 months. A well disserved holiday. Well, I wasn't really on holiday, I went on two pretty long skate trips that took me to France and then to the States. This is one of the funniest new spots in Barcelona. I went there with Steve, and out of the blue, Javier showed up with his homie Luc Prousat. Luc was going up and down the hill like a kid on a slide.
It's been raining so much lately that I haven't been able to stack up on blog material so much, and I'm going on a new 3 weeks antiz tour next monday, so it might be a while before the next post. Last thursday I called up Chris to ask him if he wanted to go on a rail mission with Charles, he accepted even though he was feeling a bit sick. This week end we had a good session with Chris Pfanner at this spot near Arc de Triomf. We weren't too sure if it was ok to skate there, but a lot of police dudes on scooters drove by and didn't tell us anything, so we thought we were fine. But after about 2 hours that we were skating there, a group of undercovers came to arrest us, I guess they were frustrated that they didn't bust any dope dealers or illegal imigrants. Lucky Chris had already left. Poulain focused his board in front of the cops, they didn't really like that. They took us to the police station, and bad coicidence, there were the two pigs who already took our boards the other day, they recognized us, things were looking kinda shady... But at some point, while we were waiting for them to decide what kind of punishment there were gonna give us, another cop came in, and asked Furones what we were doing there. After Julian told him our story, the guy started saying that he used to be a skater too and asked Julian were he lived and if he knew so and so... That's from last thursday I think. Furones, Poulain, Charles and myself took the train to l'Hospitalet de Llobregat to look for spots. After a long treck, we ended up at the famous quarter to wall spot. But straight off the train we had found these sets of stairs with narrow banks on the side. The boys had a little kickflip challenge there.

I like this spot because it doesn't look like it's in Barcelona. All spots in this city tend to look similar(colors, ground, etc...), this one could be anywhere. It's tipycally the kind of spot that here, no one's gonna skate, cause there are hundreds of other spots that are way easier to skate. This one has the shittiest ground, the bank is slippery as hell, and you end up on the busiest road, perfect for Poulain.

Sebi's lipslide was the only thing I got the chance to film before the pigs pulled over and proceeded to steal our boards yesterday in Monumental. They made Bram sign a paper saying that if we wish to pay 750euros each, we could get them back. The funny thing is, they were so dumb, that they never realized that they collected less boards than the amount of skaters that we were. They didn't see Poulain's board behind the ledge and Sebi had hidden his behind a tree. Lucky in his bad luck, Steve had twisted his ankle and was getting ice from the bar across the street. All i got to say is : Fuck the fucking cops.

I just saw that independent video called Happy Medium, by Buster O'Shea. I guess it comes from Arizona, and it must have come out begining of 2008. All I got to say is this is the sickest video i've seen in a looooooooong time ! It makes me laugh to think about how much money some companies must invest, to bring out some boring dramatic bullshit HD crap, when all you need to make a good video is a old VX, a good crew of motivated friends and a slightly creative mind.

We (Charles, the dirty austrians and me) went to that quarter to metal wall thing, they love it. Not sure if it's a skatepark or bmx park or something, but anyway it's a great spot, you can just chill in the grass if you don't feel like skating. Michel got his first trick for the upcoming Antiz video, and he took a bunch of gnarly slams. Let's hope for him that it won't be like that for every trick of his part... He made a FUT plant for the blog.

I just came back from my short french Christmas vacation. I didn't film anything in Rouen, but I went to the skatepark, and I can tell you there's a young red head from there, that is seriously coming up(switch backside smith grind reverse on a rail...).
Back in Barcelona, we had one last Guineueta session for 2008. Furones showed up wearing these white, french thug style shoes, so Steve and me were making fun of him, but once he started skating the miniramp, we stoped laughing. Dykmans killed it too, but we still laughed at him, we can't help it...

Hey there dear blog addicts, here's a last post before Christmas, tomorrow I'll be at home getting a little more fat and a little less smart... Sunday we had a great session at the Premia skatepark, I filmed loads of good stuff, so I guess there will be a special Premia report sometime soon. It was Julian's last session there before a long time, since he's moving to Berlin soon, and he concluded it with a nice slam(but he still rules the place). Charles is getting better and better on transition, Bastien looks like he's at home in a pool as much as on a rail, and this one is a special one for Bram's mom, your son is doing beautiful backside tail slides for the pleasure of his (many) friends. There might be one last post before next year if I film anything while I'm in Rouen, till then, thank you all for watching, keep it hobo !

Yesterday we were in Mongat, where there's this famous spot where JB and Guy Mariano had lines in the Lakai video. it's a sick spot, and God knows why, they built the shittiest skatepark right in the middle of it. It's actually not so bad, there's a couple of good flat bars. The crew was mostly french, with first appearance of Bastien Duverdier, and the return of Charles Collet, although he's not seen in this post, he might also be the subject of a blog part, on the Soma site next year...
Earlier in the morning, on my way to the post office, I was the whitness of a weird scene, I still can't figure it out...
